The Food Technology and Processing Research Center (PR TPP) is at the forefront of innovation in Indonesia, advancing food processing technologies while ensuring food safety, halal standards, packaging, preservation, and socio-economic impact. Supporting BRIN’s mission to strengthen food security, PR TPP develops superior local products, reduces dependence on imports, and elevates Indonesian foods to global standards. Its work spans functional foods, plant and animal product processing, marine resources, fermentation, advanced food technologies, process engineering, packaging, preservation, and food safety innovation. Visitors on the lab tour will explore state-of-the-art facilities, including the cGMP Process Building for product development and sensory testing, the Integrated Laboratory Building for material, stability, and food analysis, the In-Vivo Testing Building for animal trials, the Co-working Space for entrepreneurs and start-ups, and the Special Halal Research Laboratory for biomolecular, microbiology, and mycology studies.
